Jesus was born and raised in Ventura county, California, and I was born and raised in north Texas. We met in Santa Barbara where we were both attending college. Shortly after meeting, we started dating and lived in Los Angeles and Ventura county within our first year together. Jesus worked at his family's produce company that was started by his grandpa many years ago. I worked in the office while continuing another year of college, although I dropped out shortly after 🙂. It wasn't until 2018 that we decided to move to Waxahachie, Texas. In the last couple of years, we've become more aware of our food system and the quality of the food we consume. It was Jesus' background in farming, and our combined passion for good quality food that ultimately led us to take the next step. We purchased our property and got going as soon as we could! Our goal is to grow/raise good quality food with no synthetic chemicals, no hormones, no antibiotics; none of the bad stuff, only the good. That means raising livestock on pasture while incorporating regenerative methods and keeping them happy! We're excited for what's to come.
