Ginger Sesame Ground Chicken

Ginger Sesame Ground Chicken

Ginger sesame chicken with our ground chicken! A quick & delicious meal! I typically serve this with rice, and either roasted carrots or pickled carrots and a cucumber salad.

Ingredients:

  • 1 teaspoon olive oil
  • 1/2 cup diced onion
  • 1 pound ground chicken
  • 1 teaspoon kosher salt
  • Fresh black pepper to taste
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce or tamari
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil
  • 1 tablespoon rice vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon maple syrup or honey
  • 2 cloves minced garlic
  • 1 tablespoon fresh minced ginger
  • Chopped green onion and sesame seeds for garnish

Instructions:

  1. Add the olive oil to a skillet over medium heat. Cook the onion for 3-4 minutes until softened.
  2. Add the ground chicken to the skillet and cook while breaking up into small pieces until the chicken is cooked through. Season the chicken with salt and pepper.
  3. Mix the soy sauce/tamari, sesame oil, rice vinegar, maple syrup/honey, garlic, and onion together in a bowl. Pour over the ground chicken and stir to combine. Simmer the chicken until the sauce is incorporated. Taste for seasonings and serve with green onions and sesame seeds.
