Ginger sesame chicken with our ground chicken! A quick & delicious meal! I typically serve this with rice, and either roasted carrots or pickled carrots and a cucumber salad.
Ingredients:
- 1 teaspoon olive oil
- 1/2 cup diced onion
- 1 pound ground chicken
- 1 teaspoon kosher salt
- Fresh black pepper to taste
- 1/4 cup soy sauce or tamari
- 1 tablespoon sesame oil
- 1 tablespoon rice vinegar
- 1 tablespoon maple syrup or honey
- 2 cloves minced garlic
- 1 tablespoon fresh minced ginger
- Chopped green onion and sesame seeds for garnish
Instructions:
- Add the olive oil to a skillet over medium heat. Cook the onion for 3-4 minutes until softened.
- Add the ground chicken to the skillet and cook while breaking up into small pieces until the chicken is cooked through. Season the chicken with salt and pepper.
- Mix the soy sauce/tamari, sesame oil, rice vinegar, maple syrup/honey, garlic, and onion together in a bowl. Pour over the ground chicken and stir to combine. Simmer the chicken until the sauce is incorporated. Taste for seasonings and serve with green onions and sesame seeds.
